"We bought our lake lot in 1993 and spent the next few years visiting Savannah Lakes twice a year and daydreaming. During this period we talked to residents and looked at many homes, both finished and under construction. As we got closer to our projected building date, one name associated with quality home construction kept coming up, Lee Builders. About a year and a half before our projected retirement date we met with Bill Boyd. Bill took our floor plan and made suggestions and changes that were both helpful and beneficial. The process was underway. In August of 2000, we finalized our plans. At the same time, Bill found a reasonably priced lot for our mother that was located near our property. A design and floor plan that met our mother's needs were also developed. Construction on both houses, which started in mid-November, 2000, was to be completed while we were still working in Michigan. We made three trips to Savannah Lakes during construction to check on the progress and make the necessary decisions regarding the interiors. There were also frequent telephone conversations with Bill and Clay regarding updates, suggestions and changes. Both houses were finished on time with no cost overruns or last minute charges. In fact, improvements and changes were made without charge. We moved in June of 2001. Doing business with Lee Builders made the construction process easy. The honesty, quality of construction, attention to detail, legitimacy of changes and suggestions and personal attention puts Lee Builders far above their competitors. The ultimate tribute is when out of state visitors and relatives consistently comment on the high quality of workmanship and the beauty of the home. The added bonus, which is not measurable, is becoming a member of the Lee Builders "Family". This built in support group makes the transition to becoming a Savannah Lakes resident easy and enjoyable. "

In January of 1998 we purchased our lot in SLV, sight unseen. We had never even visited the village. That turned out to be one of the best decisions we ever made. Another great decision was choosing Lee Builders to build our dream home. Like many others, we visited countless homes in the village, talked to scores of people and even interviewed sub-contractors as they worked for various builders. You would be amazed at how candid and objective many of them were in their comments. After all of that, it became obvious that Lee Builders would be our choice to build our home, which represented the biggest single investment in our lives and our future.

 

From the start, the advice that we received from Bill, Clay and Tommie Lee proved to be invaluable. Clay had the vision and the expertise to position our home on the lot in a manner that reduced building costs and gave us a fabulous view of the third fairway and the lake. We continued to live and work in Michigan while our home was built, but Bill kept us updated on the project by emailing us over ninety pictures of our future home (how we anxiously awaited each email). Despite the monsoon rains of 2003, the home was completed by the agreed upon target date. When we made the big move down during the summer of 2003, we were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the workmanship and the finishing touches that were included in the home. A friend of ours, who is in the construction industry, visited us in September, shortly after our move-in. He reinforced our positive feeling by commenting that he had never seen such beautifully finished carpentry, moldings etc, in high-end homes in Michigan. We cannot believe that we have been so fortunate to find such a fabulous place to live the best part of our lives; to have met so many wonderful, friendly people in such a short period of time; and to have selected the best builder to construct our dream come true at 118 Hamilton Lane.
