Letter to Tommy Lee:

Now that we are settled into our new Lee built home, we would like to send this letter of appreciation for the great experience we had working with Clay and Carrie.  From the very beginning of the process of looking for a builder, through the final product, we could not have been more pleased at the professional and caring manner of both of these individuals.  At our initial meeting, Carrie explained how we would be guided through the process of selecting appliances, doors, windows, carpet, tile, and all of the other needed items, by setting up the visits and coordinating them with the vendors.  Since we were first time home builders, this support was really appreciated.  As we were working through the pros and cons of the various builders, this became the "Carrie Factor" and was very important in our final selection of your company to build our new home.

During all of our trips down, both Clay and Carrie were very helpful, and we accomplished all of our scheduled activities without any problems.  Carrie provided the maps on how to find the various vendors, and set up the schedules so we spent minimal time traveling to the various vendors.  Clay was great walking us through what had been accomplished, and what were the next steps.

Even when we were back home in Virginia, both Clay and Carrie continued to keep us informed about the progress.  Clay made some great recommendations for necessary changes, and Carrie sent pictures on a regular basis.  We now have them in a special album as a documentation of the build process.

Again, thanks for the great support that your company provided, and for the great experience of dealiing with Clay and Carrie.

We settled on Savannah lakes for our retirement home back in 1999. On visits following that time, we were invited to join the Bill Boyd/Lee Builders family at dinners and picnics and get acquainted. In the last three years, we accumulated a stack of house plan books about two feet high and finally narrowed the field to three plans we liked. We cut, pasted and drew a version on graph paper and consulted several builders in the area, and selected Lee Builders based on what we believed would be a quality product for the investment. After consultations with Bill Boyd and several adjustments, we had a plan for "121 Elgin Lane". We made three trips down from Illinois during construction, had a number of phone conversations and were kept in the loop with e-mailed pictures. But, still, it was a thrill when we walked into the finished house for the first time. Our home turned out far better than the pictures showed, better than we had imagined in our mind's eye and far better than what we expected.
 
There were so many great surprises ­ the picture moulding, the great floor finish and the super carpentry work (to name just a few). It had seemed so daunting and absolutely overwhelming in the beginning, since we had never "built" a home before. In the end, it is a beautiful, comfortable home (with a great view). Bill, Hattie, Clay, Courtney and Nancy were most helpful. They kept things going smoothly and were most reassuring during the whole process. All in all, Bill Boyd/Lee Builders are super to work with and deliver a great product.
